1st official dr's appt...
I originally had my 1st appt scheduled for 2/14, but they called for me to re-schedule. My new appt is onthe 20th and I will be 10 weeks. I feel like I should of been seen so much sooner? I did see the dr when I was 6 weeks because I was spotting so she did and internal exam and said my cervix was closed and everything looked good.
Iknow so many girls who already had blood work done. Isnt there a timeframe that certain tests must be done to rule out certain issues?
For instance, down syndrome...
thanks girls!

10 weeks should be fine considering your doctor has seen you before.

10 weeks should be just fine, specially since your doc has already seen you. I believe they do the down syndrome at 16 weeks.

Re: 1st official dr's appt...
I called my doctor as soon as I found out I was pregnant, which was one day after AF was due.
My first appointment I was at 6.5 weeks. I have seen the doctor every 4 weeks since then. I am 30 weeks now and everything has been fine.
I had my AFP test (downs test) at 16 weeks. It is not adviseable to have it done earlier than that. There can be false positives.
