what is everyone using and which one would you recommend?
I know a rectal should be the most accurate..

I use a digital thermoter that can be rectal ororal. I am planning on buying an ear one though because my son is almost 4

I have a temporal thermometer that I find to be much more accurate than the ear thermometer, I always get different readings with the ear thermometer...

It's soooo easy, you just wipe it across their forehead!

It's soooo easy, you just wipe it across their forehead!
I use this too. When they were babies, I would use the pacifier thermometer or the sticker one.

thanks everyone ..but I was referring to infants..as I don't think a temporal thermometer is good for when they are that young..

I still use the rectal one for my daughter when she needs it b/c the other one I have is the ear one and her ears are just too small. I really dont like it, I dont trust the reading, even on my son who's 3. For an infant, you definitely want the most accurate reading, which is the rectal.

I have the vicks rectal one and I love it it is fast and very accurate I also have an ear one as well I have heard that the ear thermometers are always off by a few degrees

We got the one you rub across the forehead and it was always innacurate. We recently got the ear thermometer (I think it's made by Braun) and I love it. Although if he's really sick I would use the old fashion rectal theremometer.
