My SIL had her baby 6 weeks early...
My brother and his wife called last night to say my SIL (also named Trish) went into labor after her water broke and she was only 33 weeks (technically she would have been 34 weeks today). Ava Riley was born weighing in at 5 lbs 5 oz. and both mom and baby are fine. She joins older sisters Katie and Grace and big brother Jimmy.
I know of no other details right now (I do not know when she is coming home, etc.), but my dad sent me an IM last night with this info:
She's a beautiful little peanut with a tuft of dark brown hair. Mom and I [that's my parents, the grandparents] got to actually go in the nursery and see her up close. She's in a little incubator as comfortable as can be. Like a baby condo. Gracie [the 2-1/2 year old older sister] seems a little jealous....kept hugging me and mom...she talks very clearly now.
I have no idea when we'll see them (they are up in CT). Just say a prayer all is going to be well with Baby Ava.
