twenty week sono question..

my baby wouldn't turn over...... it was in a fetal position, the sono got the pciture of everything that she needed but I didn't get the "best" profile picture of him/her. did this happen to anyone else? the tech was hitting my stomach so the baby would turn.... it didn't the baby is very stubborn!! (or shy)

This happened to my friend. The baby was so stubborn that my friend had to go back a week later and try again because the doctor wasn't able to get the measurements he needed. I've heard this happen to a few people.

I guess we were lucky, my little girl was in there showin' us all what she's got!!

me!!

i went in last week and baby was curled up. they had me leave, walk around, and come back 30 minutes later. still curled up!

so, i have to go back next week.. such a tease!

yes , this happened to us. he had his head down, facing towards my back and his butt in the air! the tech was pushing my stomach and i was turning from side to side but he wouldn't move! all we could get was a 'thumbs up' picture and his butt in the air! so needless to say i'm shceduled to go back feb 3!

it happened to me as well. she made me empty my bladdar and walk around for a half hour. the baby eventually turned and we got all the pictures we needed.

I've had sonos where the tech couldn't get the view they wanted because the baby wouldn't move in the right direction. It just means you'll get another sono.

This happened to us on Monday. We have to go back on Thursday because the sono tech could not get a good heart shot and we do not know the sex for sure. Eventhough the sono tech said that she was 90% sure she is a girl. Her but was facing my stomach

i just went back yesterday because the dr. couldn't get the shots of the heart he wanted at 2 weeks ago.

all was well and he stated "she's still female"

OMG! My 20 week sonogram the tech could not get a profile picture- so I have a picture of her head- skull and all

We had our 18 week and our little Princess was being very lady like Her legs were crossed and she was NOT showing her stuff! The sono tech spent a lot of time with us and tried to get her to move and open up but she would not budge.

The tech knew how much DH and I wanted to know the gender so she asked us back at 20 weeks to take another look see "down there" and sure enough she is a girl We have had a few sonos since and still ask if she is a girl

they got the measurements, so they don't want to see me again :( should i ask... or just deal with the pictures?

we had same situation and a very persistent technician who poked, proded, and jiggled my belly so much to try and jostle the baby into a different position I felt yucky for a whole day afterward, but she got all the angles and measurements she needed so we didn't have to go back. Good thing, b/c it was so unpleasant!

I didn't get any pictures from my 20 week sono - I was very disappointed. he was very stubborn and we couldn't get any good shots! The tech sure did try for me. But I was comforted to know all was developing fine at the sono!

Same happened here, it was disappointing since I got such nice profile ones in my first pregnancy. I tried emptying my bladder, moving to each side, taking a break and having some OJ, but nothing worked. But all was fine, so I didn't really care in the end.
