Black Leather Couches
We have black leather couches in our living room and they are driving me crazy. I want to change them but DH says they're fine. What's your reaction to living rooms with black leather couches?

We have a black leather couch in our apartment now. It was DH's before we were married. Once we get new furniture for the house, his couch will go in the basement. I don't really care for it, although it is comfortable.

When I think black leather couch, I think of a bachelor pad. Maybe because my brother has them in his house and he is single!
I think most leather couches are very contemporary, so if that is not your style maybe DH will let you change them. Come up with some ideas so he can see your vision.

not a fan. Once in a sofa store salesman told me that black leather is for people that don't want to decorate and take the easy way out. Too generic looking.

They are very comfortable and they were actually expensive (Natuzzi) but it's the color that I hate. I keep looking at them and think - 80's.

i had a leather couch and love seat in my apartment for years and love the look. i now have them in my den. you can update them by using deco pillows in chinese designs or something else that would work with your decor
