Moms of two and more.. labor & due date question
Did you go into labor on your due date with both children or were you off with either one? Please, give me your EDDs and your actual delivery dates, ladies!
I always hear that the first one comes late and the second comes early. However, for me the first one came 3 weeks early so I am just trying to get to a feel of a most common scenarios...
My second one is due 2 days before my original due date for the first... Hmm, i wonder...

First one - 6 weeks early (not very represntative of most moms). EDD was 10/28, actual 9/19
Second one - 1 week early. EDD 6/21, actual 6/15
There is something I learned about 2nd time moms that surprised me. I was convinced that I was going to go late with my second because Maddie never dropped toward the end. I read that second time moms carry higher & drop much later. In my case it was during delivery.
Also second time moms have more Braxton Hicks & pre-labor contractions which accounts for shorter labors. That was true in my case as well.

I was due on January 1st with DS and he was born on January 9th. I was due on January 4th with DD and she was born on January 2nd.

Both my kids were essentially born on their due dates.
1st - Due May 10th, born @ 11:59PM on May 9th
2nd - Due July 29th, born @ 4:44am on July 31st.

Anya, sounds like we have similar timings.....
Andrew was due May 28th and was born May 9th.
Lauren was due May 16th and she was born May 6th.
Both early. They almost share a b-day.

DS was a month early
DD was born a day before her due date.
Hopefully this one will will be a little early. I can't stand the thought of Going anywhere near the end again. But of course not to early!

My first, Caleb was due January 13th, 2005 and he was born January 11, so he was 2 days early
My second, Kaitee was due July 30th, 2006 and she was born August 1st, so she was 2 days late.
