Re: Feeling Sad...

I can imagine how fustrating that must be. My SIl has the same problem with her child. He just does not like to eat and it is always a battle to get him to eat. He is in the 5% for weight and is 18 months old. The doctors don't seemed to be too worried, as long as he eats some baby food and takes his vitamins he is getting what he needs. I see what she goes through so I definatly know how hard it is. Hugs to you.

Re: Feeling Sad...

Molly is not a big eater either. She loves yogurt and cereal and a few other "carbs". She also only likes ONE type of sippy cup. Can I suggest that you go out and buy 2-3 brands. They are all very different. Let your baby try them out. All of a sudden one day Molly loved this one sippy cup and boom...no more bottle.
Also, Molly is not a big juice drinker. I give her 32-3oz of OJ water down into a 6oz sippy once a day. But she won't drink apple juice or any other juice.

Keep offering your baby a variety of foods and at some point they will just enjoy eating.
Lots of us have these same problems.

Re: Feeling Sad...

My niece was/is the same way. She is 4½ and does not eat meat, just pasta. She is in pre-school, she won't eat a sandwich. She is a very picky eater. My sister has told her Dr many times, she is worried that she isn't getting protein and other vitamins, no meat no veggies, just pasta, raviolli, spaghetti. But she is growing and her Dr isn't worried at all. I guess each child develops at their own pace. As long as the Dr isn't worried, try not to be. I can't magine what you are going through. I guess little by little he will change eventually.
