Pumpkin Picking in Nassau? (xpost from parenting)
I'd like to take my daughter Pumpkin Picking today or tomorrow but we live in Nassau and since she is only a year old I don't want to go all the way out east.
We are in Levittown -- is there anywhere in this area that is good to go? Or even a place close to the nassau/suffolk border that anyone can recommend?
TIA! Melissa & Emily

There is a great place on the North Shore in Nassau maybe someone can help me remember the name - it might be on northern blvd -but not 100% sure. Anyway - I remember it used to have hay rides, pumpkin picking etc and was great for families.
There is always Hicks (http://www.hicksnurseries.com/ ) Which has I think a hayride and I know it has a walk through with animated ghosts (Otto) which is cute for small children (not scary)

There are a couple of places in Melville. Try searching on here for previous posts because I remember someone listing them. Also try searching on longisland.com.

Mill Neck Manor is having their annual festival this weekend. And they always have pumpkins (and apples). It is near Oyster Bay.

there is that farm near melville (i think it might be in wheatly hights) and they have a ton of pumpkins (they give you a wagon) its really cute. Whitepost farms annoys me bc I went there a few years ago and they charged us to get in.
