How loud can sex be?

Last night my neighbor who is never home ( a single guy we hardly ever see) came home with a loud bang of the front door. Immediately turned his music up really loud. I heard more banging, some loud voices (all male- not sure if there was more than one) and more banging. It sounded like doors slamming until there was banging on the walls and my floor was shaking. I was terrified and thought maybe he was being mugged or something. I was seconds from calling the police when I heard several slapping noises followed by a loud voice that did not sound angry. Then I thought maybe he was just having really loud rough sex. About 20 minutes later the front door slammed again and I soon after fell asleep. When DH got home an hour later there was no more music playing.

DS and I were really scared, I have never seen DS be so quiet and listen to me so well, when I yelled to get in our room he did.... fast. I swear with all the banging I though they were gonna come through our door, or that there would be gunshots.

So what would you have thought it was at the time? What would you have done? What do you think it was?

that is pretty scary though, especially since your DH wasn't home. Jeeez! don't people realize sound travels?

could he have been arguing/talking something out on a phone/cell phone??

in college I had a girl down the hall from me who was known for her exploits in bed....the whole floor and the ones above and below us knew.... she didn't care and laughed at it!

I would of knocked on the his door and yelled "What the hell is going on"??? Me and my son were worried something was wrong, please try to keep the noise down, I almost called the cops!! Thats what I would of done.

Could he have been robbed?

Did you see him come home with the others?

Maybe he was already in the apt. and a few men busted in? That could account for all of the door banging... maybe they were looking for money, valuables, etc.? The slapping... maybe they were slapping him around?

Did you hear moaning and groaning?

I don't blame you one bit for being scared.

I think I would have called the cops.

Then I felt bad calling 911 if he was just gettin busy

just let it go, why bother saying anything to him? he just getting his nasty on..... if it persists that would be a different story, but one night?

my friends old roommate used to do that. he'd meet guys off the iternet, invite him over. theyd come in we'd all say "hi" akwardly, then theyd go in his room, crank up the music and then boom boom boom boom boom

I didnt see him come home but I know he wasnt home already b/c I brought packages in for him at 9:30. He always plays his music loud, so that didnt shock me. I was two seconds from calling 911 but the noises after the slapping werent moaning or groaning, more like "Yeah, thats it" (or something like that)

I could NEVER say anything. We share an entrance so it would be mighty awkward.

I didnt even have any idea that he was gay. Stupid question I know but is gay men sex louder than hetero sex? Cause this was freakin NOISY. All I could think was Ouch

From having a slut roommate in college, I can tell you it can be VERY loud.
