How long before you make a fresh bottle for your baby?
Okay - another question You ladies are always a great help.
Lately - it seems my daughter will drink in spurts and im letting tons of formula go to waste -
She'll drink 3 ounces (from a 6 ounce bottle) fall asleep - then wake up one hour or so later and be hungry again.
Now - question - can i use the same bottle i used for her previously and let her finish it - or should i make a completely fresh bottle for her.
How long should pass by - until i give her a fresh bottle?
She's 7 weeks and not drinking her usual amount today - i don't know whats going on - she'll stop, sleep, wake up 20 minutes later be hungry again and eat and same cycle again What can i Do? TIA again.

The formula is good for 2 hours if heated. If the bottle wasn't heated and he didnt drink all the formula and it was only out for a few minutes I would put it in the fridge and use it later.

I heard that you are not supposed to use them later but in all honestly we do that more and more lately.

I didn't use them later because if saliva got into the bottle the formula/BM would break down, kinda like what they say about putting the spoon from the mouth back to the jar if you are not finishing the whole thing.
I made smaller bottles and let him have more if he was still hungry, of course there is no way to have NO waste at all... but I tried!

I still stick with the within one hour from when she first started drinking from it rule. I don't heat her bottles though, I wonder if I could go longer.
