BF and weight loss question
I have heard that when you breastfeed your body holds on to 10lbs "just in case" - is that true?
For those who breastfed - when you stopped did you notice it was harder or easier to lose weight?

That happened to a friend of mine...she lost a ton of weight in the beginning and then she was stuck with that extra "10 lbs". As soon as she stopped BFing, she lost it.

I agree with that too, in the beginning I lost a lot of weight quickly, but then it stoped and I held onto 10+ pounds, I am hoping when I stop BF I can lose the extra pounds. My doc confirmed that this is normal for long term BF.

I haven't heard this but I can't tell you how happy I am to hear this . I always thought you GAINED weight when you stop BFing because you aren't burning the extra 500 (or so) calories a day anymore.

I think that's happening to me... I lost 35lbs sooooo quickly (in 2 weeks!  ) but I still have another 10-15lbs to go and no matter what I do, my body just keeps hanging onto it. I'm working out, eating a REALLY healthy well balanced diet, and walking everyday with Alex, but the scale hasn't budged in weeks!

It didnt happen to me- I lost al the preggo weight fast and Im still bfing.
