When to look into daycare?

When to look into daycare?
I'm 12 weeks PG, and I'm thinking I really should start looking into daycare now - 6-7 mts may sound like a lot of time for me, but in daycare world, waiting lists could already be happening at good places....
I have a good connection with a reputable day care center, and I left a message for the director today....
The thing is - after my 6 wks maternity leave, I may take an extra week or 2 from my vacation, but then, thats it - we can't afford any unpaid leave time at all....
Is it a good idea to start looking into it now?

I definitely would start looking soon. We started looking for daycare in April for my son and we are still on the waiting list for a two places. Luckily we found a home based daycare that we like and we will probably send this baby there also.
