family who annoys you
Does anyone have a family member who just annoys you to the point that everything they do bugs you.
I know I wind up coming off the bitcch all the time with her, but seriously the fact that she cant brush her teeth or wash her hair before coming out just sets me off. Then to be cheap, and selfish, and sarcastic and self-absorbed. I can not stand being around her. Honestly if I think of some of the things that bug me they are petty but its the whole package. I think I just lost respect for her a long time ago b/c of something she did and now I cant look at her without a feeling of disgust in my stomach.
I know its terrible, but I dont know how to get past this. I KNOW she has her own issues, and I try and ignore these things but they always drive me crazy. To the point I am miserable.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Yes, two of my older cousins annoy me to the point that I don't return their calls or ever want to speak with them. In turn they are always mad at me...it's a vicious cycle.
I completely understand.

please I dont even have to worry about that. She is too selfish to call for no reason. She calls on birthdays and holidays. Since my DS was born she has been to my house 3x - 4x I think and 2 of those include Christmas so she had no choice, but did complain that it wasnt the usual tradition to be here so she wouldnt open her gifts until we were at the usual place.
And I should add this is a close relative.

Yes. I have 2 cousins that I have crossed out of my life. The only thing I have in common with them is DNA. I want absolutely nothing to do with them. Then big family functions and they act like all is nicey nicey. Please! They are dead to me. I cant even say their names without wanting to gag.
So in the end, they just dont exist

Yes, most of my male cousins.
Let's see...
One has 8 kids, is he a millionaire? NO. Can he support them? NO! His wife has stayed home since 1991 and can't handle raising all of them. My cousin's 75 year old parents watch the littlest three every day. Oh, he lives in Basking Ridge, NJ and his parents live in Valley Stream... yup, they are in the car back and forth every day. Oh, and his wife has the audacity to drop off several loans of laundry with the kids every day I could write a book or maybe I should just buy them a box of condoms.
My cousin J, who has his parents be full time daycare for his two kids for seven years until the smallest was in kindergarten. He and his wife worked shifts in a hospital so my (other) aunt and uncle basicially raised his children. One day, two years ago, he and his wife decided to move from LI to Bumble@#$%, Wisconsin. Why? They didn't need daycare anymore. They just lived here to use my aunt and uncle. MY aunt and uncle were devistated. Then this cousin's wife has the nerve to say she never liked her IL's. You must have liked them enough to get tens of thousands of dollars worth of free daycare out of them They are both retired educators so these kids were taught everything by them... so smart for their age. They only recently came back to his parents' 70th b-day party, ONLY because he was collecting on his MIL's several million dollar estate... his wife's brother, father, grandmother and mother all died in recent years so they got all of their combined assets.
My cousin lacks so much class he was showing off his new Rolex at his parent's party Ummm... he's a paramedic... please. Oh, both of his kids are on several anti-anxiety meds... they are a mess and him and his wife never even acknowledge my wedding with even a card.
Those are the two worst cases but of course, I have others.
To think I'm RELATED to these people
I hope my kids get none of their DNA.

A have a few of these people in my life, unfortunately they are there to stay so there is not much I can do about it- I try to keep my distance.

I have one person who causes me to literally spend entire family gatherings dodging them to avoid being STUCK in a conversion with them. She sucks people in and does not let go!

I actually think my brother is an ahole, and my SIL is the most coldest, rudest, self absorbed, beeotch walking. Cant stomach either one of them.

Yes, I do have a person like that in my life. However, since my diagnosis I look at her different and have become a lot more accepting of her (I have become a lot more accepting of just about everyone)
