I have solid oak kitchen cabinets that I want to refinish this summer. They are a really dark brown and I'd like to lighten them up.

My dad was visiting this weekend and told me that I can send my kitchen cabinet doors out to be dipped. They dip them in some solution and can take the finish off really easy. I didn't see any companies in the nassau phone book that do this. Has anyone had it done? Where?
