We love Massapequa Woods - I just sent this link to DH. Thanks Scott! We went to see a house there and within 2 weeks it was gone. I'm sure this one will go fast too. If we check it out I'll let you know.

It's funny you said that...My friend grew up and lives in Massapequa and when I mentions Massapequa Woods a while back he there is no such thing. He seems to think it's a take off on the Wantagh Woods area, which is actually an area, to make the neighborhood sound better.
Would love to know exactly where it is.

I grew up in Massapequa and family still lives there....never heard of that area. Must be new "realtor lingo".....
There are neighborhoods like Biltmore Shores, Nassau Shores and Harbor Green....Massapequa Woods is a new one to me!
Speaking of HS - we hung out at the golf course in Nassau Shores and Bowling Green by the train station...haha

On Front Street in Massapequa Park right down the block from BRADY Park

Massapequa Woods is the area south of sunrise, north of merrick. West of Hicksville rd. and east of ??whats the lake there called?? I think the lake is bordered on the east side by Seaford Ave or Seaford Rd.

OK I think I know what this is.
I actually great UP there...
It's the range of streets that are named after different types of trees- Locust, Maple, Cherry, etc...
I grew up there from 1st grade through college and never once was this term used... so it totally could be a realtor term.
Oh the lake is Tackupussa (spelling) and the street it's east of is Seaford Avenue. This is on the boarder of Seaford and, if it's still the same, a nice place to grow up.
