Anybody afraid to drive with a baby?
Maybe this is just me being nervous, but the thought of driving with an infant in the car frightens me to no end. Especially since an infant goes in the backseat and faces backwards.
I know that I tend to drive a little too fast sometimes and I am SO worried that a baby in the car will make me drive like an nervous old lady.
Anybody else worried about this?

You get a mirror that hooks onto the rear seat head rest. Not velcro cause those are dangerous, one that actually attaches.

But how do you soothe a crying baby who is in the backseat when you are driving?

A moving car is a wonderful thing!!! If baby gets hungry then you pull over. Don't worry, it will all be second nature after the first few times in the car.

I agree. I was nervous at first too. I have a leadfoot. Here's what made me slow down: the thought of my child alone & scared and me unconscious in the car. It will definitely change how you look at things and how much care you'll take.

Thanks for making me feel like I am not the only one to be scared about this. I have asked other people who made me think it was "no big deal" and it made me feel like I am a nervous freak.
As far as speeding, I don't expect that I will want to speed. I think I am more nervous about slowing down SO much that I can't merge into traffic easily and drive defensively because I will be preoccupied.
