Making your own baby food

I've been making Katie's fruits and veggies, but next month we start meats. I'm trying to find out if it's just as easy or should I by the meat in the jar?

I dont' know about meats, we've just started fruits. I have been using organic fruit so far, so you only use organic, or regular fruit that you wash well? It's been hard to find good quality organic apples in my area.
