Frustrated- PLEASE HELP!!!- UPDATE
OK- I'm on CD 19.
I've been using FRER OPK since CD 15 every day at 3pm
Yesterday I got what I thought *may* be a surge line- the lines weren't exactly the same- the outter edge of the surge line was as dark as the control line- but wasn't as thick...
I thought maybe I would get the REAL surge today.
Well- I just used OPK and my test line was light and i had no surge line at all.. just the faintest of shadows...
So was yesterday my surge? Is this test bad? Should I BD tonight?
I am so confused. Of course, I didn't temp this morning so I don't know if my temps went up. 
I really just want to quit- I've been off the pill since May and I've only ovulated once that I know of- I just want to throw in the towel...
OK- I bought the Clear Blue monitor- found a good deal on it $215 for the monitor, 1 pack strips and batteries.....
Also- my temps haven't spiked yet- i'm still at 97.3 so I haven't O'd yet. Maybe yesterdays test was screwy?

Hang in there and don't give up yet. You have only been off the pill for 6 months so give your body time to adjust. Have you spoken to your OB/GYN about why you are not ovulating? Have you been getting AF every month? Another thing to consider is if you are over 35 possbily seeing an RE sooner than later to help move things in the right direction.
If you saw a change in the OPK yesterday I would think that was the day you surged.

I am getting my period irregularly...
I have had 4 periods in 6 months and I had a very long 51 day annovulatory cycle.
I am supposed to go get my progesterone levels checked one week after I get a surge on the OPK- but I CANNOT READ THESE F-ING THINGS. I am sorry-i'm mad.. I've spend at least $100 now on these stupid tests and I still don't know what I am looking at.
Should I just spend the $$ and get the Clear Blue Easy monitor? Does anyone have it?

I know exactly how frustrated you must feel. If you want, you can share your charts with me and I will do my best to shed some light on your situation.
One of the best investments I ever made in this whole TTC process is the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor. The sticks are actually even more accurate than the monitor itself.
You see typical opks measure LH, that's it. When the LH is higher than 20, you get a surge on an opk. Some opks detecting LH at lower levels and they are not 'accurate'.
The monitor sticks measure two things, LH and Estrogen. Both are very important for ovulation to occur. When the LH line on those sticks are darker than the Estrogen line....you will be ovulating !!!
Once again feel free, to send me your chart.
If you are using fertility friend....you go to 'sharing" then, homepage setup , and then, on the top of your homepage there is a "url"....if you cut and paste that into my FM I will most definitely look :)

It is such a difficult thing to deal with and it helps when women like yourself are understanding, so  and thank you.
You have convinced me to purchase the clear blue monitor- I can't deal with the FRER OPKs anymore....
I will FM my chart tomorrow after I add tomorrow morning's temp.

DO NOT QUIT! I know its so frustrating. Are you charting? Maybe this would help you to pinpoint and see if you are O'ing. Maybe get the Clear Blue Monitor? I was thinking of getting it myself. Don't give up. When in doubt, BD!!
