Planning 2 trips: San Diego & Costa Rica...advice?

We are in process of planning a San Diego trip in March for my spring break and a Costa RIca trip in July for our one year anniversary..advice? We are going to our travel agent next week...

try doing a search for costa rica here & on LIW. many have gone and have posted very detailed reviews. costa rica was my favorite vacation- i liked it better than hawaii! i just came across this post on frommer's with great recommendations: costa rica review

how funny - my last 2 vacations were to San Diego and Costa Rica.

What are you looking to find out?

For Costa Rica - you can do this trip several different ways. We stayed at one resort and only did one day trip to see some of the country and of course do the zip lines. We really wanted more to rest and relax. I stayed at the Paradisus - all inclusive. If you want many people stay there for a few days and head the volcano/rain forest for a different type of vacation for a few days. You can also do the total adventurous type trip and pop around the whole trip.

SD - we stayed over by the SD Padres baseball field. It was walking distance from lots of restaurants and nightlife. Easy transportation to all the major sites. We did the zoo, old town, la jolla, etc.
