How long is your commute?
I posted this on FHF by mistake, here's the post again:
What do you consider an unreasonable commute to be?
I was living in Commack and commuting from the Huntington train station, my total commute was about an hour and twenty minutes. Now I live in Queens, and in an ideal situation my commute is about 40 minutes, but depending on how long I have to wait for the subway, it can be an hour (and sometimes more).
We are thinking about moving even further east than I lived before, but both of us work in the city, would it be unbearable

I work 8 miles from home. I take my car and it runs about 20 mins door to door.
ETA: this is using back roads...no highways

Right now, it takes anywhere from 25-30 minutes. We'll be moving further east in a few months and it will probably go up to about an hour or so.

15 miles each way....all LIE
25 min to 2 hrs..not including hampton fridays or the mta strike
hampton fridays 1.5-2.5 hrs
mta strike 4 hrs each way

My commute is 10 minutes.... Ilive 5 miles away from my job 
The longest commute I ever had was when I was living in Commack and working in New Hyde Park (about an hour each way)

11 miles each way, door to door - takes me, on average, 17 minutes (I go from west to east). The longest stretch of my commute is actually getting to the parkway (I'm a mile south of 25A).
I've commuted over an hour (each way) when I lived in Manorville - some days it would take close to 2 hours...and then there was the snow day where it took me 4 hours to drive 6 exits 
I am too spoiled by this commute to consider anything more.

I live about 9 miles from work it takes anywhere from 15-20 minutes going to work using side streets. I can't get on the freeway in the am but after work I can and it takes me 10 minutes.

I work in NYC and am currently living in KP. I think it's WAY too far and it's driving me batty!

I ahve a 5 minute commute now, but once I start my PT job it will be about 15 minutes which is still good. I would say a 45. minute commute would be my limit.

Mine is now only 15/20 minutes...but I'm in Manhattan - only going 1 or 2 subway stops. My old commute from Long Island to NYC was 1 1/2 hours...door to door. Now that we're moving to Monroe, I think I have to give up working in the city because I don't want a long commute anymore. I'd love to find a job within a half hour of home.
