I know I have asked this before (Pediatrician)
But are you extremely happy with your child's pediatrician?
I am not and I am thinking of changing. I have been taking her to the same one for 3 months now - and I am still not happy with them.
I depend on these people with my daughters health and I want it to be with doctors that I can trust and be happy with.
I am in the Centereach area - but I am willing to travel.

i love my pediatrian, and my kids LOVE him. he is in new hyde park. im not sure if thats too far from you. if you want any info im glad to pass it along :)

I switched ped. at 2 months and I am really happy with the one I go to now and she really interacts with Luka which I love. She also doesnt make me feel like a paranoid mother when I ask her questions. The only thing that I am not following is waiting until 6 months to start on solids but to me that is not biggy. The Dr. I go to is to far for you (queens).

I'm very happy with mine. He has a 4 month old and a 2 year old so he's right there in the thick of it too. He answers all my questions and takes them seriously. I have yet to wait more then 10 minutes to be called which I really like. They call and remind me of the appointments and the office staff is very courteous and pleasant.

I am not that I switched practices. I wasn't on the same page as my first pediatrician either.
If you can't find someone closer to Centereach, I have one in Huntington for you.

I have one for you in Holbrook. His name is Dr. Fernando Ordonez. I started with him 25 years ago and my youngest daughter will be going to him for the last time within a couple of weeks. I absolutely love him. He has his own practice and gives everyone the individual attention they need. He never rushes you and, what I like the best, is, when the children get older, he, actually, talks to them. His office is on Broadway Avenue. He's been there for 24 years and been in practice for at least 30 years. I hope you give him a try. I'm glad I did and I will, definitely, miss him.

I like my pediatrician alot. We are in coram- but we use dr Kolker and Dr Burns in miller place.

At first I wasn't, but once I stuck with one of the doctors in the practice, I became more confident with her, I wouldn't say extremely happy though. Another LIF had a bad experience with them, so I'm still being cautious. Otherwise I would recommend them, they are in Smithtown.

I love my ds's ped-Dr. Hitner... he's in north babylon and I'm in Holbrook...but I travel! It depends what you are looking for. I love the fact that he's the only doctor and already knows my child (although his nurse Ms. Marie knows all the children the best ) and he's young so I know he'll be around for all my kids.

Honestly, I don't think ANY pediatrician is good enough for your own child. It's tough to find one that would care for them as well as a "Mommy" would hope.

I go to a GREAT pediatrician in Holbrook. Let me know if you want his info. I had a horrible experience with my first pediatrician, and I am so glad I ended up where I am now. He is the only doctor in the practice, so I know he knows my daughter.

This is my pediatrician! I should have read the posts before I responded He's also a family friend. My parents have known him and his wife since I was a baby.
