Burberry Factory Outlet in London- anyone been???

I am going to london tonight for work and am interested in visiting the Burberry Outlet.

I am told its not in the best area and am wondering if anyof you have been.

I haven't been to the Burberry Outlet specifically, but Hackney is in the Eastend of London. I wouldn't consider it unsafe, just working class. My Uncle lived in the Eastend and there was a great sense of community there. Just take a cab to make sure you don't get lost.

Hackney is a rough part of town. There's no tube stop so you'd have to take the overground (depending on where you're staying, a cab could cost you a lot of money!!! They get really expensive really quickly) closest stop is Hackney Central.

I've never been.

It's funny, in London they have what they call Chavs - which are - hmmm, how to make this sound remotely PC - people who basically cover themselves in Burberry or Burberry knock offs. So anything that I could afford - the hat or the scarf, basically! - will totally make me look like a Chav.

OMG- never heard of chavs- I am sure you wouldn't look like a chav( whatever it is)

I was actually hoping to find some scarves for xmas gifts so if I can get one of my coworkers to go with me there I am going to check it out.
