Dear Fellow Virginians....

But the accent....I'm having a hard time understanding you. What in G*d's name are you saying......I need a dictionary!

When my friend and I were driving through the South, I had to be the translator for her. While they were speaking English, she could only understand half of what they were saying

I swear it's like...huh..que...I'm sorry please repreat it over & Over & over.
Than agaian, I'm in the minority down here so I'm the freak w/ the strange accent. It's the blind leading the blind.

Well, someone in Arkansas told my friend she had an accent and said "Are you from France?" She is a New yorker who has never lived anywhere else.
We STILL laugh about that.

I'm like "HE LL NO, I'M FROM NEW YAWK!" and one time someone goes: that's what I though. I said "no, you thought I was from Boston." He didn't know what to say. I confused him.

I met our UPS guy and he's like Ha Thurr, I'm a hick Uhuh, yup!!! I started to laugh. Then he asked if I was a Yankee fan & Said hellz yeah and he said ME TOO!!!!!!! LoL we have something in common.

My roommate freshman year was from richmond... and when i called i could barely understand her mom! I hung up and i told my mom, "um, i think she's taking a bath?" 
I've gotten used to it though... and, honestly, have a bit of an accent myself 
The NY accent comes back about 2 minutes after I step on LI though
