Re: Engagement Party Gift

I just bought an e-gift. I got something from the registry.

You cna give either. For our engagement we got mostly cash, but we didn't have a party.

Re: Engagement Party Gift

depends- if they're registered, I would buy a registry gift.

I just bought a gift for an e-party = I bought all the wine glasses off the registry, but then added a Vac-u-vin wine sealer stopper thingy (vacuum sealer - the wine keeps longer when opened), a wine chiller (a sleeve that you stick in the freezer, then slip over the bottle), a corkscrew, and a bottle of wine.

I wrapped it all up in purple and gold, and stuck some grapes on the package - it was a hit!

Re: Engagement Party Gift

Well the bride's parents are hosting and they didnt include a registry card. Does that mean they arent registered anywhere yet?

You can check online on weddingchannel.com to see if they registered yet. If they did, I usually buy something off the registry.

Re: Engagement Party Gift

For an e-party people are not supposed to anticipate at gift, so the registry card is not included. We had registered for our party b/c people kept asking, alot of people like to buy off the registry. I would call and see if they are registered, if not, then I would give cash. I actually liked the registered presents better, cause all the cash has long been spent, but i still have everything that was bought for me. I like that the presents have sentimental value and I can say I got that when we got engaged.

Re: Engagement Party Gift

We registered before the party, but didn't include registry info, because we weren't really expecting gifts. My sister hosted and most people asked her about the registry when they RSVPed.

Most people got us stuff off of our registry and I liked opening the gifts. I ended up using the cash gifts to buy things off the registry anyway, so I would probably buy a gift if they did register.

She probably just started the registry but didn't finish yet. Lots of people I know have the engagement party and haven't even registered yet so you have no choice but to give moneyChat Icon

I would give money.
