There is a saying in my family - that they all say (parents, aunts, cousins, even the little kids repeat it now) - at least 10 times a day and that's:
"THANK GOD FOR JAMES"
I'm like Damn - I didn't know I was that difficult??!!!!
OMG me too!!  
And they also say that he has "the patience of a saint".

Dad to DH upon asking if he could marry me:
"Are you sure you want her? She's a real pain in the a*s like her mother"
The only thing that was really said was my Grandmother to my DH was Thank G-d we finally have another Italian in the family again.

well, my Dad has said:
"There's a special place in heaven for Dh because he married Kelly"
isn't that nice...
or if the fact that DH is a good guy comes up:
"He married you, didn't he?"

My mother's family told him that they are glad he finally "made me Italian again with my new last name" (My dad's not Italian, but my Mom is 100%). My aunts are evil.
My mom says all the time that there are no returns on his purchase.

When my grandmother was really sick she told DH, "you better marry her or I'm going to KICK YOUR A$$!"
It was pretty funny... unfortunately she died before we got engaged

He always takes DH's side!!!!
