I figure why not--since I have off today...but now my living room looks naked! LOL

WE just took ours down too! But it was way past its prime! I was saying it looked like a freaking Christmas tree massacre in here!

I will be doing it today or tomorrow. I am going away Wednesday and I go back to work next Tuesday (I want my house back to order so I can stop tripping on my daughters swing which is always in the way)

No, I don't think you are a scrooge. If you have a small house like me, it turns into clutter very fast. I like everything to be neat and now there is stuff everywhere and I am having panic attacks-lol!

we are keeping it up till the jan 7th for all saints day. plus we are having friends over on friday so we want to keep the house decorated.

ok I am the scrooge you think all of you by taking down the christmas tree makes you a scrooge nah! Because i DID not have one to put up this year i was treeless! i did not even decorate i was a scrooge all the way we except by giving presents i love giving presents to my friends and family!

Same here, but Im having people over sat for new years like 40, and I leave it up for all saints day too. I remember hearing as a kid its bad luck to take down the tree before the 7th day of the new year.

Guilty...I started taking everything down late last night...The tree is still here, because DH is too lazy to drag it out...by all the decor is gone...
I really just want the tree outta here...pine needles are everywhere!

I just started to take down christmas decorations. I didnt want to but I was putting away all the stuff I bought today and wanted to see how many bins I would need so I started to take things down.  The window decals are still up and I'll take those down at the end of the week when I take the menorah down
