Really strange thing going on with AOL..

Yesterday ( I had my away message on) and I got an IM from someone I hadn't talk to in Months (and before that it was years) It said something about LMAO watch this video and it had a link for some googlevideoblahblahblah

I tried to click on it and it didnt work.

Just know I got an IM from an old Co worker from my other job havent talked to her in 3 years. IT said the same thing LMAO watch this video googlevideoblahblahblah. I wrote back Dude I tried to open this yesterday someone else sent it to me she sent the same thing LMAO watch this video googlevideoblahblahblah I wrote who is this and she went into away mode W T F?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

These 2 people DO NOT KNOW EACH OTHER NEVER MET!

thats what I was thinking a virus but really if someone was getting their names thats REALLY BAD that 2 people who don't know each other but know me sent it to me.

sounds like a virus. I had a worm once where it sent some documents on my computer to people in my Outlook address book. Worst was that they were highly confidential documents that were sent to some volunteers I had working for me! Took quite some time to talk my way out of that one!

it could be similar to a worm and it's popular enough that they both have it (i'd make sure you don't have it now after clicking that link). It could be sending that link ot everyone in the address book. Or it could be something that pops up a window that looks like an IM from epople on your list but isn't areal IM. I don't know, but it sounds like a definite malware problem. Update your anti virus and run it ASAP

OMG same thing happened to me!! My coworker on my buddy list got a virus from someone who passed it to her, who then passed it to me and so on. I had to have IT come fix it.
