I'm not as excited as I thought I'd be

Just found out I am preggo with #2 and am excited, but not nearly as much when I found out I was preggo with Jack. Anyone else experience this? I'm sure it is just because there really is no mystery anymore about what will happen, what it will be like to have a baby in the house, etc. Plus, I really don't have the time to sit around and think about it I guess since I'm constantly chasing Jack around the house.Chat Icon

I am sure you will get more excited as time goes on, I am preg. with my 1st, so I was scared S*** instead of excited in the beginning. Now I can't wait !!

I am sure it has a lot to do with the reasons you stated.

I totally understand. Until I started feeling the baby move I'd forget I was pregnant all day unitl I got into bed and remembered that I needed to take the prenatal.

I've asked some of my friends and they said it was the same way for them. Being so busy caring for your first, as well as all the other things that occupy your day, you are a lot busier (and more tired!) than you were the first time around!

My friend was just telling me she feels guilty since with #2 she just isn't as into it so I think its probably pretty common. You will be excited when he or she is born!

I feel the EXACT same way! I also find myslef much more lax about all the rules and stipulations of pregnancy. I've certianly had my share of coffee, deli meats etc already. I think once we can feel the baby and look pregnant it will become more exciting.
