I would not consider this "Breaking News"
PHOENIX (AP) Free agent running back Edgerrin James has signed a four-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals.
Do I really need to get a news alert about this?

It's fairly big news to sports fans. One of the best players in the league going to one of the worst teams.

I do think the headline to Yahoo's Breaking News is a leaves something to be desired. I remember "Aniston unhappy with Pitt-Jolie union" -- as if she'd be throwing them a party.
