Itchy legs after walking/running?
I've always had this problem when I walk/run for a while my legs become red and extremely itchy - and sometimes I go as far as to really scratch them up badly.
Does anyone know what causes this? Or anything I can do before or after I walk/run to help with the itching?

Yes-- this happens to me all the time. If I scratch like I want to, I literally bruise my legs. I call this a mystery of life. No one that I have ever asked has the answer to why it happens.

This happens on my thighs and butt  while running.
Don't scratch or touch, it will only get worse.
I have heard it can be caused from sweating, but for me personally it seems to be from jiggling

I find that it happens when I get hot and sweaty and my legs rub against each other. It is the friction.

i learned about this in gym class - its the blood coming up to the surface. thats why its so red

me too, when I walk.. I was told its the blood *really* circulating throughout your system and tissues from the exercise which it normally isn't

that used to happen to me when i ran i think it's from sweating and being hot and if your legs rub together that could be the cause too. the only thing i can think that i used at one point was gold bond lotion or either the powder that seemed to help with the itching & burning

It is blood coming to the surface...it's cellulite that's getting "worked" and itches. It's a good thing that you're itchy...it means that part is being tightened/worked on...eventually it'll stop!
