1st Doctor Visit
What goes on in the first doctor's office. I am expecting an internal exam, an internal sonogram and a lot of questions. What else should I expect?

My first doctor's visit was a urine pregnancy test and basically a regular visit. They did a pap and that kinda stuff you'd normally get on your yearly. THen we met in his office and he talked a bit about the pregnancy, i asked questions, that kind of stuff. I went back a week later for my CBC and all the blood work. I'd imagine though you might have all the blood work done thoughat your first visit. I think my dr just did it differently.

I didn't have an internal, just an internal sonogram, lots of blood taken and then a question and answer session. The first sono is awesome!

I didn't have an internal, blood test or sonogram during my first visit. The took a urine sample and she asked lots of questions regarding family medical history.
I think each doctor is different. Call the office and ask the nurse or receptionist what you can expect during the visit.
