Please suggest a good going away gift
My friend is moving to St. Louis and we've been friends for nearly 9 years so I want to give her -- something.
I'm looking to spend about $50-75. She's not really one of those keep-sake kind of girls, so I'm looking for something somewhat functional (she just bought a condo, so maybe even a cool household item would work) and not too big since she's driving all of her stuff down.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!

picture frames.... a nice stationary set if she wants to keep in touch or send cards, a nice wine bottle and glasses. Also, a gift cert to bed bath and beyond.. so she can get what she needs for her new place..
Good luck!

As a token gift, maybe an Entertainment book for the St. Louis area with coupons for restaurants, etc.?

I would give a token gift and then a gift certificate to a home store in St. Louis -- home depot, lowes, bed bath & beyond, that type of place. She's going to need a ton of stuff and this will be one less thing to move.

Re: Please suggest a good going away gift
I'm glad that you all suggested some form of a GC. I didn't want my gift to seem impersonal, but it definitely is the practical way to go. And the St. Louis entertainment guide is an excellent idea.
THANK YOU all so much!!

I think the GC is an awesome idea and sooo thoughtful but I really like the stationary idea too. It would be really cool to get her stationary with her new address on the envelopes.
