What do you do if you get your hair colored and hate it?
I just spent a fortune on getting my hair highlights and lowlights. This was my first time at a new salon. I thought I was pretty specific about what I wanted, but when she dried it, the highlights look like nothing and the lowlights didn't even cover my few gray hairs! I said to her it wasn't what I imagined and that I wanted more dramatic highlights (she called mine "subtle" while I would say they are nonexistant), and she said to wait a couple weeks and see if the highlights become lighter with washing. They may become slightly lighter, but I know they won't become what I wanted! I don't know if I am a sap and didn't argue enough...If would be one thing if it wasn't expensive, but to pay a fortune and leave hating it is an awful feeling.

I would give it a day, see if it does this miraculous change the hair stylist says it will and if not call the manager and tell them this is what you wanted, and you want it re done or your money back to go elsewhere.

I think this sounds like a good idea- give them an opportunity to make it right.

Wash it a couple of times and then dry it - if its still not what you want then go back to the salon and they should fix it at no charge.

 Julie. She was nice enough, she just didn't listen to what I wanted! I would have loved to have had Amy instead. I don't think she was there today. I also got charged MUCH more than you did.

WHAT!!!!!!! You got charge more than me??? That doesn't make sense. I got color and a haircut. You just got highlights and lowlights.
Did she do your eyebrows?

The guy charged me, but from a receipt I think Julie wrote up. He allowed me one GC, but would not take 15% off, and he complained about the GC. It p!sses me off because I called to ask how much it would be and they would not give me a straight answer, and I could not believe it when it was that much. It was like $80 for highlights, $60 for lowlights, then more for toner and additional cr@p.

That's totally not right!!! Amy wrote receipt and then he gave me the 15% off, but then when I present the GCs he did get annoyed and said I could only use one.
I don't get how yours could be so much more than mine. I got a full head of color and a haircut. Isn't that more than highlights and lowlights? What's tonor?
What did Julie look like?
What did he say about the GCs?
Did he complain that the guy gave $25 for a $50 GC?

I know that if I came back to my salon a couple of days after getting my hair done and told my colorist that I was not happy with the outcome he would fix it. If you are not happy go back and see what can be done. A lot of times it is just a matter of getting a gloss. She should correct it free of charge.

This has happened to me before. I did wait a few days and just was not happy/was not what I wanted.... I had mine re-done, no charge.
It stinks to pay that kind of money and walk out of there not satisfied...
