Selling my car?

I want to sell my 2000 sebring convertible, but not sure how to go about doing it!! I've had it on auto trader for a while now (with no luck), and really want to get rid of it. We have three cars and the third car (sebring) is just not necessary w/ the two of us - and I can surely use the money! It's in excellent condition with low mileage - does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about selling it??

TIA

Re: Selling my car?

I spoke to one of those car cash guys- I found his number on the side of the road- but he offered me a fair amout for our car- we have 3 and don't need 1

I can look for his number if you want

I am planning on calling him as soon as our truck is back from the detailer

I called "car cash" - they wanted to give me alot less then blue book

I just want what we owe-

I also contacted car cash, but haven't received a response yet. I really want what it's worth, but would settle for a little less. It's in great shape. If you wouldn't mind, can you FM the phone number and name when you get a chance? Thanks a lot!!

You're right - I guess ebay is an option. Do you think many people buy cars off ebay - I'm so inexperienced with this... Chat Icon

he owns the company- he has signs all over - the signs just say cash for cars, suvs, boats and atvs

I orginally called him about our ATV- but I sold it on my own- he was very honest and told me I was better off doing that

Re: Selling my car?

Ebay
Craigslist
Auto trader
For sale signs in the window and park the car at the train station or mall.

Make sure the car is clean.....Inside and out.

If you want, have the car detailed. A car that is clean sells faster than a car that isnt clean.

The thing is, that now is not a great time to sell a convertible. It is out of season.

If the car is in great shape, well maintained and you advertise it - I am sure you will be able to sell it.

Ebay charges $55 to list a car. I sold a car on there already. Craigslist is a great place to list the car every few days.

Put a sign up at work, Put flyers advertising the car for sale at all the super markets near your home, library....etc...Anywhere there is a bulletin board
