health insurance question
I found a great ob/gyn. He accepts my husband's insurance, but not mine. I have double insurance and my insurance would be treated as primary. How would the coordination of benefits work? My insurance would cover 60% of expenses as out of network and the rest should be covered by the other one. Would I have to send bills from one company to another for the reminder of bills or would they work everything between themselves? Or would I have to pay 40% at the time of an appointment and wait for an reimbursement from the second company. Is that even worth the hassle? Should I look for another doctor?

Re: health insurance question
Since yours is primary...they would submit to your insurance...they should if they are aware you have secondary coverage not charge you the 40% there.
Then some places will submit to the secondary...this is something you will have to ask them. If they dont, you will just submit the itemized bill along with the Explanation of benefits from yoru insurance to your husbands. If theres any copay or balance it would then be billed to you.
I think you should end up if they take DH's insurance paying nothing out of pocket.
Really all you need to do is find out if they will submit to your secondary insurance or want you to do it.
