repost from LIW home - anyone buy patio furniute from target?
do they help you tie it to the roof of the car? a friend of mine got a martha stewart set from kmart a few years ago and they did, but there isn't a kmart near me anymore.

No target does not help you. I think they said b/c if it damages the car and or falls off/out while you are driving then they are in some way responsible for it???? Toys R us is the same way if you buy one of those big thing for the backyard.
DH and I had to do it ourselves.

We bought there last week and no, we had to do it ourselves. In fact, 2 Target workers were outside talking and watched me and DH load up the van and didn't even offer to help! Still, it's worth it for the price you get on the furniture!

thanks. we'll run up there and just tie it on ourselves.
of course we waited to the last minute (having a bbq tomorrow) and i don't want to impose on any of my friends with such short notice to borrow a truck.

you could alway go to home depot and rent one of their truck for like 20 bucks for the first hour. Might be a good idea if you dont have room in/on your car.
