Final Walk Through

We did the Final Walk Through on Saturday. It went excellent. We got to the house and walked in to see the seller put up a beautiful wood Banister that goes from the second floor all the way down to the first floor on one side and it is a half banister on the other side...All natural wood. We are going to stain it.

The sellers agent told him that we were going to put a banister up and he decided to do it for us.

Really nice of him. We are going to meet them at the closing. They live out of state and this house was his fathers house.

Anyway, I checked out all the sockets and they all work. All the light switches work and the wierd thing is our bedroom light switch is in the hallway outside our bedroom.

There are no sockets in the bathroom, but my father in law will do that.

The outside and garage are perfect...and the washer / Dryer arent that old.

We also found out that the seller got two estimates for the chimney, one for $180 and one for $500. He fixed it the right way....and paid $500.

I cannot wait till closing on thursday afternoon. We are going to bring the sellers a bottle of wine....Do we need to get dressed up for the closing?

AWWWWW thats great Scott!!!!! I would dress nice not dressy dressy though a polo shirt and khakis and for danielle a blouse and a skirt, and the bottle of wine is a nice touch! that was really nice of them to do the banister! Sounds like the seller is really happy not only with the sale of the house but with the new home owners that will take care of what was his fathers house!

Yeah...His father was the original owner..SO I am assuming the seller grew up in this house too.

After the father passed away the son who is the seller finished the upstairs and he also closed off the eaves...So now we have to find where the opening is and create a door....

Wow, you have some nice sellers. A polo shirt and khakis are more than OK for the closing. That's what I wore to the three I've done. When we bought our condo, the seller showed up in a T-shirt and jean shorts. As long as you come with the checks, they'll gladly accept you - no matter what your wardrobe is.

Wow! Congrats! You really have a nice seller. Ours, on the other hand, would take the banister down and take it with them! LOL.
You bought in Levittown, right? My mom lives there and I really like the neighborhood. She's in the S section.

Congrats Scott! I am so happy for you.

We dressed business casual for our closing, as long as you have the checks you can probably show up in your PJ's if you want to.

Glad to hear the walk through went well.
