So how to do I tell my boss?

Okay, I am 13 weeks and wondering how and when I should tell my boss. I started working in the library in November and became a Librarian Trainee this July. I am SO nervous to tell her even though I know that another person got pg shortly after she started as a trainee.

My boss is very nice but I am so afraid that she will be upset with me because she has finally gotten the staff built up to where she wants it.

Any advice on how to break the news?

i was really nervous too because the year that passed was my first year teaching.. I went in told the principal.. and he was happy for me.. it wasnt as bad as I thought.. I was dreading it.. especially since he is far from a people person..
Just be honest.. it'll be fine!!

I told at 14 weeks, good thing I did bc I started to really bulge shortly thereafter. You don't want to wait too long and have people speculate "is she?" or "isn't she?" and have your boss find out that way...

I just had a one-on-one scheduled and blurted it out! "I am 3 months pregnant!" It was fine once out in the open... If your boss thinks you're quitting the news might come as a relief LOL

We have biweekly updates so that I can update her on what I'm working on and discuss anything I need some direction on....so I just started by "updating" her on me. I just said I have some really exciting news that I'm 14 weeks pregnant. She was shocked....turns out she was too! I was supposed to "step up" in her absence - oh well maybe next time. Turns out we are due 2 days apart.

Strange huh?!?!

ETA I did bring up the fact that I had intentions of coming back. She didn't seem concerned (maybe she's not)
