So I got a phone call today about a job I wanted
and I thought it was just to set up an interview- ( that was what the person I spoke with at the Job expo said)
but it turned into a phone interview and I was prepared for it and I don't think I did my best
she said she was passing my resume along to the district manager- but still- I don't think I wowed her
I am so upset
maybe I should just stick to my current field

I had a phone interview once and I did not think I 'wowed" the interviewer. That is the current job I have now so you never know....try to stay positive, something will turn up

In my experience for formal phone interviews they usually set up a day and time. I wouldn't put too much weight on it. It might be more informal then you think.
What kind of position was it for??

Beth-don't beat yourself up. It's natural to feel insecure, it's a new field.
Phone interviews are never as good as the real thing. You will get a face to face and wow them!

I wouldn't worry. I would not consider that an interview really, more of a formality. I think they were just trying to get a feel for you to see if they should bring you in for a real interview. The person was probably screening potential clients for someone else.
