going to re tomorrow for a beta..what else should I expect if anything?
I got my bfp this past Thursday. I called my re(Dr. Saketos) and they told me to come in tomorrow for a beta test. Do you think they will examine me or give me a sonogram? I dont know if re's usually do that or not? Does anyone know the protocol? TIA

It's just bloodwork tomorrow and then again on Thursday. If all is well, you will go back 10 days from Thursday for your 1st U/S.

I am actually thinking, they will only do the beta test and then send me to my gyno. Because we didnt do iui or anything, and I am not covered for the re to do any of that but I am covered by my gyn. So I am thinking that they will probably only do blood right?

not necessarily. I got preggo while a new patient at RSofNY (they hadn't done anything but take my blood before I got a BFP on my own), and they didn't "release" me until I was 6 weeks along and saw the heartbeat. They did a few sonos along the way, to see the sac, to rule out an ectopic, and to see the heartbeat.
I wasn't covered either, and they coded everything "infertility" so my insurance wouldn't pay
If I had to do it again, I'd go to my gyn earlier on, and not wait for RSofNY to say ok.
