Question about 2WW

Hello everyone!

This has probably been posted before but I searched and couldn't seem to find it....

What changes are you making to your diet in the 2WW?

Are you staying away completely from alcohol?

Would you paint your living room?

Use natural makeup, etc?

I'm planning on no caffeine, no alcohol and taking a prenatal but is there anything else that people are doing or avoiding?

thanks!

Re: Question about 2WW

I didn't stay away from anything but caffeine in my 2ww. To me that was the hardest habit to break. Before you get your BFP I don't think there isn't a chance to pass anything onto the developing baby quite yet.

I have painted, wore the same makeup, used salytic acid in my cleansers, drank alchohol, and my baby is doing just fine. I basically lived my life the same. Once you get that BFP the story changes.

Keep taking your vitamins though, and drink lots of water-it's good practice for PG or not.

Re: Question about 2WW

I agree that you need to continue to live your life in that 2WW. I used to make adjustments in my diet and what types of cleansers, make-up I wore and found this added to the stress. After 15 months of TTC I've learned to go with the flow and try not to obsess about what I'm doing. I live a pretty healthy lifestyle although I do enjoy a glass of wine a few times a week:)

Re: Question about 2WW

thanks ladies!

I have a feeling that if we don't conceive right away I will probably still have the occaisonal glass of wine in the 2WW- I only have so much willpower! Chat Icon

Re: Question about 2WW

I didn't change anything during the 2ww. I dont drink much caffine to start with same with alcohol. I wouldnt paint my LR but thats because I'm lazy and DH likes to paint Chat Icon

ETA: at first I changed my diet, everything I did - then after several months it became so hard not getting PG so I allowed myself to live my regular life style and I was much happier.

Re: Question about 2WW

Actually staying away from caffeine and alcohol, is a good idea during ovulation time. Both those items can make cervical mucus unfriendly.

Once again some people are drunk when they conceive, but for those who have trouble ttc, it's something to consider
