sometimes I just want a scheduled C-Section.
I am so afraid of labor and delivery and the million things that can go wrong, not to mention the pain. That sometimes i just want to say schedule me a c-section.

I 100% understand...the thought has crossed my mind as well. The fear of delivery has to be perfectly normal though.

Fear of L&D is normal however, it's not that bad, at all!

i'm the opposite. as fearful as i am of the whole labor process, i am hoping that a c-section won't be necessary even though it may be likely in my case .

Re: sometimes I just want a scheduled C-Section.
A c/s is certainly not pain-free and if I'm not mistaken, has MORE risks involved than with a "natural" birth! In fact, 6 mos. later, my incision and surrounding area is still tender.
Anyway, when I was pregnant I was worried too, but I always reminded myself that millions of women, before, during and after me have done this (several times!) and I could too. It's so cliche, but you really do forget the pain, if not immediately, then within a couple of weeks
Good luck to you; you'll do great!!

My friend is currently pregnant and feels the same! She is dreading L & D. We were due yesterday and will hold out as long as possible to avoid a CS but what ever will be will be...

Re: sometimes I just want a scheduled C-Section.
Honestly, I was kind of hoping for one. I was really scared of the whole process of pushing and all that, but I guess its the fear of the unknown.

There are many more risks with a c-section. The only reason to do them is it's the quickest, easiest way out of the womb.
Just breathe. Your body does all of the pushing - you only push at the end. Your only job during the entire labor is to breathe through the pain. You'll do fine.
