arghhhh looking for a BETTER PCP in Smithtown/Commack area
I LOVE the Doctors/NPs at Carfora family medicine, but they are TOO BUSY for their practice. I can never go in and out without a wait - OVER 30 minutes. I've been trying to reach them ALL DAY - literally all day - since 9am. I got through ONCE - and it was a machine that said they were closed til 1 30 for lunch. I just got through again, and I've been on hold for 9 minutes and 14 seconds.
Damn HMOs are stopping the Drs from making money, so they PACK their schedules to make a buck.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new doctor in the Family Medicine practice on Belle Mead Road. I go to Dr. McKeon. I'll find their number--he was so attentive, and spent an hour with me for my first check up! There was a short wait for the initial visit, but now that I am a regular patient, it isn't a long wait to get in. And they took me in 15 mins EARLY!
The number is 444-4630

I would suggest my doctor because she's AMAZING, but because she's so amazing, there's a six month wait for new patients. But you could use her associate and get in in like 10 minutes. He's really good, too.
