Do you feel obligated to buy something when you go to a product party at someone's house?

I am going to a jewelry/pocketbook party tomnorrow night at someone's house who works in my district. Yeah - of course I'm going because I'm interested in buying something, but I don't want to feel pressured. It's not like it's Tupperware or a Candle Party where I can pick up something for $10.

Do you feel obligated?

I ALWAYS feel obligated, that's why I don't go anymore. A pocketbook party on the other hand is a major weakness. I haven't been to one in a while but I always spend over $100

I went to a stamping party hosted by a woman from work. I spent $50 on stamping accessories because I didnt want to be a cheapo.

I didnt even buy the ink to stamp with!! I couldnt afford it.

ETA: it was fun to hang out with everyone outside of school.

I tend to feel obligated, but I don't know if I would at a pocketbook party where things are more expensive.

Yes I feel obligated. I will pass on the party if I don't intend on buying something.

its fashion jewelry- i was actually going to ask you if you wanted to come... the thing is you buy one at full price, say $62, then the next piece would be $12, the next $12 and the next free. So I got 5 pieces of jewelry for $94.- 4 necklaces and a ring! And they are great pieces! I will post pics when i get the jewelry.. i had to order them!

Oooh - I never heard of something like that!! You are more than welcome to come tomorrow night if you want - to stop me from buying! Seriously - they told us to bring friends if we wanted to.
