Transitioning to Crib
DS is almost 3 months old and is getting too big for his bassinet (which is in my room). We have to start putting him in his crib. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips for a smooth transition into his crib? I'm really nervous to not have him in the room with us.

Re: Transitioning to Crib
I would start by putting him in there for naps and then after doing that fr a few days start putting him in at night.
The things that worked most for us were not waiting until she was esleep to put her down, but instead putting her down when she was showing signs of being sleepy (sleepy eyes, yawning, rubbing her ears and cheeks). We'd do our bedtime routine -- bathtime, dressed, massage with lotion, bottle and then I'd put her down with the pacifier. When she would fuss i'd give it 3-5 minutes (unless she was crying bad) go in there rub her head and back and give her the paci again and then go back out.
For us the transition was a smooth one -- she was just ready for it and we also did it at around 2.5-3 months.
Good luck!
