Do you tip your groomer?
I just got Joey groomed and b/c we're in NYC I paid A LOT and I didn't tip the guy, but then I overheard him talking about how someone had left him a $25 tip..I never even thought to tip him b/c I was so appalled at the general cost of the grooming. Do you tip?

Nope. I only did once and that was because Molly almost bite the woman's fingers off.

but then i saw here that most people do so i tip
5-10 dollars now

My groomer is the owner of the place and it is pretty expensive to get Cooper cut and cleaned - Cooper is a very easy dog - I don't tip the groomer. Never even crossed my mind.

Absolutely! 20%
tink used to get groomed for $45 and i'd give a $10 tip.

I feel bad now too. I had no idea. I guess I never really thought about it either.
Do I tip the mobile groomer when he comes bc we are giving him a try now?!

I always tip.. like 15-20 dollars. They work hard and it isn't easy grooming a pet.

yeah tinky never needed to get cut or anything, she just bathed and dyed.
if they cut he rhair id tip more, but they didnt they have to do anything of hte sort

Damn - ok - now I know for the future. I know that grooming any pet isn't easy but grooming Molly is probably THAT much worse.

I do- but I have persian cats that get the Lion Cut every summer. She says that my babies are very good, but I'm sure they still give her the stink eye (and claws)- so I give her 20%.

Of course!! I am really picky and tried a number of groomers before I found one that met my standards. I tip her very well and she is great with my doggie

Yes. He happens to be my uncle, but I still tip him $10 for a $40 grooming. Emmie goes about once a month and he only charges me about 6 months out of the year. So, when he doesn't charge me, I give him $20.
I just feel so bad for the freebees.
