Prefinished Hardwood floors?
Has anyone installed them themselves? If so how hard was it? We just ordered prefinished HW for HomeDepot and DH refuses to pay to have them do install!!!! I'm not so sure if he can take on that project. The room is our family room and it's 320 sq ft, which is big but not that big. What would you do? Should I let him attempted it or would you hire a pro from the start?

Al put them down in our kitchen, living room and family room. Its not difficult work, but its a lot of work.
Are you nailing them down or gluing? And whats underneath them? We had to do a lot of prep work (ripping up ceramic tiles and installing a plywood subfloor since we're on a slab)

We didn't want to take the chance of screwing it up... lucky for us we know someone in the business. If you decide to hire someone, let me know and I can give you his information.
