Whats on the menu? (Table food eating babies)
We've gotten rid of the baby food (however I still try to get a jar or 2 in everday- but am usually unsuccessful)
I just get worried because- Ryan gives me such a hard time about eating... he hates to sit still for a long period of time.. So when he starts throwing food on the floor- Im not sure if he's really done... or he just would rather get down and play..
I know I ask this all the time- but How much food is enough (meaning if Im gonna give him a chicken cutlet- is half enough, 1/4, a whole one?)
This is a kind sorta menu... Im looking to critque- so posts yours too, or give me some suggestions...
Breakfast- 2 mini pancakes, and some fruit. OR 1-2 slices of french toast, and some fruit OR Scrambled egg yolks with cheese. (I do try and give his cereal and jarred fruit in the am.- I get a few spoonfuls- to a half a jar in)
AM snack- puffs, cheerios, fruit, cereal bar
Lunch- Gerber pasta pick-ups, or grilled cheese,or pieces of turkey(or ham) and cheese, or gerber mac-n-cheese, or pieces of cut up hot dog
PM snack- puffs, cheerios, fruit, cereal bar
Dinner- 1/4-1/2 grilled chicken cutlet with some green beans and a slice of cheese, 1/2 hot dog and some cut up veg., pasta pickups, some of our pasts if thats what we are eating for dinner, grilled cheese...
Some of his portions just look so small to me...
TIA

Looks good to me. You can also give Ryan the YoBaby yogert for lunch. I used alot of the Gerber Graduates with Sammy when he was little because I knew what he was getting. Be careful with hotdogs - they are not the healthiest even though they are yummy

Last night we tried "soy"dogs... made by morningstar farms. They taste just like hotdogs and Alex LOVED them... low in calories and fat, and high in protein.

Re: Whats on the menu? (Table food eating babies)
I just read something on portions (I'll have to look for it)....I know they said 1/2 jar of baby food is 1 portion, 1/2 slice of bread, 1/4 cup pasta, veggies etc.
If I can find what I was reading I will post more.
I'm soooooooo afraid to give hotdogs...how do the kiddies do with them?

Bryan eats- chiken nuggets alot, pasta ( chef boyardee- l know its not that healthy but its really easy sometimes) Those meat sticks from gerber gradutes. Usually whatever we are eating just cut up.
