congrats! You have to get this stainless cleaning rag my MIL gave me - no chemicals needed - you just wet the rag and it cleans away.

Randi - are you getting the fridge with the freezer on the bottom? I am obsessed with that one but DH says that since our appliances are only a year old I can't get it.

no we are just doing a top freezer-- if we were to spend more money, then we would do side by side. I actually didn't like the bottom freezer-- I am in the freezer too much, I feel like I wouldn't find anything in that bottom freezer.

Really? I dream that if I were to get that fridge I would be soooo organized and then when I opened the freezer door things wouldn't come toppling down on me.
Sad how I have given this fridge THAT much thought. Oh how our priorities change.

It just depends on how you use it-- I have a lot of frozen foods-- like veggie burgers and stuff like that.. To me-- It just looks like a big bin that you'd have to put stuff on top of each other. Our freezer is not really jam packed though-- it looks like you could probably fit more stuff in there! I see it working better as a storage freezer than a use every day freezer.

FIRST - Congrats on finally making a decision!
SECOND - Lets see pics of what you are getting!
THIRD - I totally agree with you about the bottom freezer being more of a storage and things piled on top of each other. Every woman I know says this is her "dream fridge" and my mom keeps pushing them on me and I just DO NOT get it!!!! My sil has one and the one rack is convenient but the main bin part is just meat on top of meat piled I just don't get what is better about that

I am a frozen food queen and I have the stainless fridge with the freezer on the bottom. I LOVE it. The frozen food doesn't get pushed to the back of the freezer where it remains forever-more. The bottom freezer has a drawer that pulls out and huge storage underneath that! I LOVE it. Everything is so neat and organized. I don't know why this wasn't designed years ago!!

The rebate ends on July 2nd. Two or more products gets a rebate of $100, three of more- $200, 4 or more $300-- so we'll save an additional $300. It's only on Profile though-- check out the GE web site-- I think it's ge.com/promos

My husband dislikes the bottom freezer too! He doesn't like the fact you can just toss things in. He likes the side by side so he can stack stuff. He's extremely neat-so I usually defer to him for organization expertise.
