Places to have 1st B-day (in Nassau)
I am looking to find a good place to have the girls 1st birthday. I would love it to be both kid & adult friendly. We thought to have it at home but John (my husband) thinks it could be to cold to have outside. I don't think October is to cold. But, he is just not loving the idea. our apartment is not big enough to have everyone inside. And I don't want to have it at my sisters. (the only close living family member with a house)
We had Patricks at a local restaraunt but now there are so many kids I would like it to be fun for them as well.

Re: Places to have 1st B-day (in Nassau)
I had a surprise party for my DH in April at Katie Dalys in Massapequa. The room was very kid friendly (kid friendly = spacious with room to run around that doesnt involve adults tripping over them). I have my kids and a ton of young nieces and nephews that love to play together and I never felt like they were underfoot like I have with some other places. The room held about 80 people I think. They also have a dance floor and a platform if you want live music or entertainment. (We had an Irish band BTW that was great if you are intersted ) Our crowd raved about the food, I got the buffet and it was very generous. Also...you have your own sets of bathrooms. No changing table though, which is really the only negative I can say about the place. let me know if you want more feedback.

Re: Places to have 1st B-day (in Nassau)
I attended a child's 1st b-day party last year at a place called Kidz, Inc. on Hillside Ave. in Williston Park. They had us in an arcade room, then the kids did a ceramic art project, then back to the arcade where they had pizza delivered from the pizzeria across the street. I tried looking it up on-line and couldn't find the website but the phone # is 516-742-1441.
You'd be surprised how the arcade entertained the adults just as much as the kids!!! (if not more)
There were definitely different rooms and different things to do...I have NO IDEA any kind of cost as I was just a guest! HTH!!!

We are actually thinking of having Steven's first birthday there!
